God is in Hellertown!
Of course, God is Everywhere! But if you’re looking for a place to worship, to feel connected or to get involved in making the world a better place, there are a lot of great churches in Hellertown.
There are eight churches within Hellertown and many more in the surrounding areas. We have Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, Episcopal, Moravian, UCC and Catholic. These churches, though different in Theology, often work together. The Hellertown Area Ministerium (HAM) which has a Crisis Fund to help those in need is just one example. Our local churches’ community outreach is extensive. They regularly provide food, clothing, shelter for those who can’t afford it.
In addition to services and local outreach, you may be looking for a place to get married or to have your child baptized. Many churches offer childcare and preschool facilities.
Churches are great places to socialize and make new friends. Ongoing events include family festivals, blood drives, flea markets, hiking trips, concerts, karoake, Vacation Bible School, free breakfasts, free dinners, classes, bingo… You could learn to quilt or sing or play an instrument.
Looking to join the Boy Scouts, take a Zumba class (or try out a 12 step meeting?) You’ll probably find it in a church as they often host outside groups at reasonable cost.
Check out a Hellertown church, you might be surprised what you find.
