Whether you are looking for a secluded spot to enjoy nature, walk or ride the Saucon Rail Trail, or take the family out to the pool, Hellertown has eight distinct parks to explore and enjoy while in town.
The 18.5 acre Morris J. Dimmick Park is located in the center of town is the oldest (cir. 1930) and largest town park. It boasts active and passive recreation areas including the Community Pool, Ball Fields, covered Pavilion with kitchen, Tot Lot with soft play area and the town’s recently constructed Performance Stage. Pets are welcome in all of our parks with the exception of the pool so please be kind and clean up after your pets.
The seven mile Saucon Rail Trail opened in 2011 and has become one of the most popular trails in the Lehigh Valley. You can access the trail from Water Street Park which also hosts the Saucon Valley Farmers Market on Sunday mornings.
The perfect Sunday morning includes a walk or ride the trail then browsing the farmers market for local produce, handmade items and wonderful food!
